Severn Waste Recycling

Gutter and tree clearance works have been carried out for Severn Waste Services which operates waste management and recycling facilities for Worcestershire County Council and Herefordshire Council.

 

The Hopmarket Worcester

Formely known as the Hop Market Hotel the building dates back to the start of the 20th century, and is now a mix of shops and residential dwellings. Over head works to date include window cleaning, gutter clearance and provision of powered access for structual surveying. A road closure is arranged with the local highways. All traffic management and planning is included as part of our high access services.

Gulley clearance works at Morgan using a safety line and fall arrest block

Operatives accessed each gulley via the MEWP. A temporary safety line was attached to the base of the MEWP and ran along the gulley. Operatives remained inside the gulley and clipped onto the line using a safety harness and running fall arrest block. In the event of a fall the block will engage the line and act as a fall arrest. A scissor lift was stationed inside the factory to facilitate an emergency rescue if required.

Other works included felling of seven trees around the factory lagoon and prunning of two trees encroaching on buildings.




The Hub gets a scrub!

Coventry University’s The Hub has won a prestigious award from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Fletcher Access has been given the task of keeping the building exteriors clean. To assit the works we used tracked access, purified harvested water and lots of elbow grease!

APF2012 Forestry Show at Ragley Hall

 

 

Fletcher Access showed the new Omme lift Crawler Mount 2750 RXJ with 15m outreach and the SkyKing Truck Mount 179 TJV.  Sectional tree felling was demonstrated with the Hinowa Crawler Mount 19.65 LL. All machines available for hire with an operator.

Sectional tree felling on the banks of the river Severn

In September 2012 five dying trees were removed from the banks of the river Severn at the Lenchford Inn, Worcestershire. The trees over hanged the river and visitor boat moorings.  They were safely felled in sections using a crawler mounted work platform. The timber was removed from site and processed for firewood.

Roof Maintenance at Malvern Instruments

Roof maintenance works at Malvern Instruments July 2012. Due to no safe man system being installed on the roof, safe access was given using our Omme Lift with its unique up and over outreach of 15 meters. Operatives were secured to the cage with a 2 meter lanyard.

3ATC Climbing Competition @ The ARB Show Cirencester

Fletcher Access gave assistance to the 3ATC Climbing Competition at the recent ARB show in Cirencester. On the proceeding day of the show a 25 meter high Cedar tree was prepared with selected dead wood and branches being removed. During  the next two days over 40 climbers were safely delivered to the top of the tree so as to climb down against the clock whilst completing four separate disciplines.

New OmmeLift 2750 at The Arb Show

Fletcher Access will be showing the new OmmeLift 2750 at The Arb Show Bathurst Estate, Cirencester, 15-16 June 2012.
